Childcare & Spiritual Philosophy

The Nest Daycare Philosophy

The Nest has made a commitment to provide high quality childcare and preschool educational services. We recognize that each child is an individual with his or her unique qualities and special individualized needs. Therefore, we respect each child's right to progress at his/her own pace. Our curriculum is designed to provide developmentally appropriate tasks to stimulate young learners, while encouraging your child's intellectual, social, spiritual and physical growth in a creatively fun environment.

Strategic attention is given to each process in understanding children as they actively explore, discover, and develop thinking skills and autonomy. A team of qualified and caring staff members actively facilitate challenging educational environments through gentle encouragement with positive reinforcement(s) for individual growth.

We believe in creating environments supportive of an ongoing culture of sustainability, connection and inclusion; embracing the mind, body and spirit of every child in developing a positive sense of self, community and wonder! As a result of effective planning and holistic learning, children and adults are able to work in partnership together as they respect each other's values and differences.

Our Spiritual Philosophy

We include God, prayer and all other expressions of Christian faith in our daycare and preschool program. We believe that these things are an important part of a child's balanced Christian worldview, their growth and development. Emphasis is placed on the common values and basic virtues such as honesty, purity, kindness, and truthfulness. Parents, family and faith are honored through The Nest program. As a faith-based child-care program, we encourage parents to view this as an opportunity to share the deeper meaning of personal faith and tradition with their children.

At The Nest Childcare, we believe that early childhood education is not just about learning; it's about nurturing the whole child—mind, body, and spirit. Situated within the compassionate community of NCT Christian Campus, The Nest integrates a robust educational framework with a strong spiritual foundation, fostering an environment where children can thrive in all aspects of their development. Our spiritual philosophy is deeply rooted in the teachings of Christ, emphasizing love, compassion, and respect for one another. As stated in 1 John 4:19, “We love because he first loved us.” We strive to create a safe and nurturing atmosphere that reflects these values, allowing children to explore their faith while developing essential social and cognitive skills. Our dedicated staff is committed to instilling a sense of belonging and purpose in each child, guiding them in their spiritual journeys to understand the importance of kindness and empathy, as highlighted in Ephesians 4:32: “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”

At The Nest, we offer a comprehensive curriculum that combines play-based learning with structured educational activities tailored to the unique needs of each child. Our programs are designed to promote critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration, ensuring that children are well-prepared for their future educational endeavors. We recognize that every child is a gift from God, as stated in Psalm 127:3, “Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.”

We honor their individuality by providing a personalized approach to learning that respects their innate curiosity and desire to explore the world around them. Furthermore, we encourage family involvement in the educational process, recognizing that parents are essential partners in their children's development. By fostering strong relationships with families, we create a supportive community that extends beyond the classroom, reinforcing our commitment to nurturing both the spiritual and academic growth of each child. At The Nest Childcare, we are dedicated to laying a strong foundation for lifelong learning and spiritual growth, ensuring that every child is equipped to flourish in their faith and their future, guided by the wisdom of Proverbs 22:6: “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”
